Error: Specified Com Port does not exist

 

When you login, you see "Specified com port does not exist"

 

This is caused by one of two things....

1. You either have a door access system and there is a setting on this computer that is wrong

2. Or someone there was playing in QuikCheK SETUP and clicked something they shouldn't have.

 

In either situation this will fix the problem.

 

Open Quikchek >>> Click Setup >>> Open Workstation >>> Click Mmgmt Hardware

Where it says "Com port for Door opener"....it's probably set to a specific number.

Click the dropdown arrow and change it to NONE.

 

Close at the bottom of the screen. You should be able to load QC just fine.
