How to set a receipt printer as the default printer for Point of Sale
QuikChek currently supports Start Receipt Printer SP200, SP300 and SP500. Please read the Star Receipt Printer manual for the driver installation. Click here to visit Star Receipt Printer support:
Once the driver is installed, please follow the steps below on how to set Star Receipt Printer as the default printer for Point of Sale:
1. Login to QuikChek and
open 'Members'.
2. Click on 'File' and go to 'Setup'.
3. Click 'System' and open 'Advanced' tab (bottom of the left pane)
4. Click on 'MMgmt Hardware'. Make sure no receipt printer is assigned.
5. Click 'Workstation' icon (top-right) and open 'MMgmt Hardware'.
6. Click on the dropdown arrow and set the receipt printer. Only check 'Cash
Drawer Present' if you have a cash drawer connected to printer. Leave it unchecked
if there is none.
7. Click 'Close'
8. To make sure the printer works, go back to QickCheck.
9. Find and select a member.
10. Open POS.
11. Click 'Other', click 'Refund', and 'Reprint'.
At this point, you should be able to print a receipt.
