BC-4000 Access Control Configuration Guide
There are 4 onboard DIP switches for configuration purposes. These switches configure door-strike activation delay and optional piezo annunciation. The door-strike relay can be configured for several activation delay intervals listed below. (The tailgate relay is pre-configured for a consistent activation delay of 1 second which cannot not be changed).
Door-strike activation:
----------------------
1 2 3 4 Delay (secs):
- - - - ------------
x x ON ON 5 (default)
x x ON OFF 10
x x OFF ON 30
x x OFF OFF 60
The piezo (if installed) is sounded whenever relay activation occurs. To enable
/ disable the piezo, use the following DIP switch definition:
Piezo enable:
------------
1 2 3 4 Mode:
- - - - ----
ON x x x Enabled
OFF x x x Disabled (default)
Once the proper wiring connections and DIP-switch assignments have been made,
the unit can be powered on. When powered up, the controller's onboard status
LED will begin to flash at a periodic rate, indicating that BC-4000 firmware
is operational.
