How to backup QuikCheK

It is imperative that Backups are done on a nightly basis. It is recommended that a Zip drive or CD writer be used for backing up at least once a week. This will allow you to have a backup of your data even if your server crashes. It is also recommended that you backup and copy the CONFIG folder to a zip disk.  If you're using X-Charge to process credit cards, copy your ICWIN2xx folder to the same zip disk, and you will be fully prepared for the worst.

How to backup

1. Open QuikCheK

2. Click Backup/Exit

3. Click 'Backup Now'

QuikCheK will always prompt you to backup everytime you exit the software. If you have more than one computer on your network, then the last computer exiting QuikCheK will be able to do the backup. The backup button will only be available to click on when all other computers are out of QuikCheK.

Disconnect all users from QC

This button will send an Exit message to all workstations that are in QC. They MUST exit, if they don't they will be forced out in 60 seconds. Once they exit properly they will be able to login again after your backup is complete.
