How to export filtered member lists to Excel

Note: As an example, we will export this month's birthdays to an Excel spreadsheet. You can change the filtered lists as appropriate to fit your needs.

1) Right click on your desktop and choose New -> Text document, and name it export.txt

2) Open QuikCheK and log in. Go to the member's screen and click on Filters -> Quick Membership -> Birthdays this month.

2) Click on List -> Export Member List.

3) In the Export File Name field click Browse, and browse it to the export.txt file on your desktop.

4) In the left column you will see Available Fields, and in the right column Fields to be Exported. Click on the desired field from the Available Fields column to highlight it, and then click the > icon to put it into the Fields to be Exported column.

* If you accidentally put a field you don't want into the export column, click on that field and click the < icon to move it back into the Available Fields column.
* The >> icon moves all fields to the export column, and the << icon moves all the fields back to the Available fields.
* Put a Check in the "Export Field Names" box if you want the first row of the Excel spreadsheet to be the field labels.

5) Once you have all of your desired fields, Click OK.

6) Click Yes to the "Do you really want to start the export now?" Once it has finished writing to the text file, press Close and minimize QuikCheK.

7) Open up Excel.

8) Choose File, then Open.

9) Click the "Files of Type" field and choose Text Files.

10) Browse to your desktop, highlight export.txt, and click Open.

11) When you have the option to choose Delimited or Fixed with, choose Delimited and click next.

12) In list of Delimiters, make sure only comma is checked. Make sure the text qualifier is a quotation (").

13) Click Finish. You are done! You now have a list of members with birthdays this month, with the fields that you specified.

Tip: Chances are you may not be able to read all of the fields because the columns are not wide enough. Widen the Excel columns as desired.
